Monozukuri (Manufacturing) School
Since 2008, the Monozukuri (manufacturing) School has been held every year to convey the joy of "Monozukuri" to the next generation, who are the builders of the future. At the School, employees teach children how to make electronic devices.
In FY 2024, the event was held at the Suguro Community Center in Sakado City, where the Sakado office is located.
12 children from the fourth to Fifth grades participated, and under the guidance of volunteer employees from our company, they combined sensors and "cars" to create "light sensor avoidance cars."
The children were very lively as they drove their completed cars, and we believe that they were able to learn the fun of manufacturing through this experience.
We will continue to hold manufacturing classes as an annual event and teach children the wonder of "manufacturing."

Tamura Corporation has been supporting the Drop-in Center Project for street children in Dhaka, Bangladesh, since 2017, through the nonprofit organization KnK International Children without Borders. The Center has been established to support children who are forced to survive on the street because of family problems such as poverty and abuse, and provides meals, educational activities, and awareness-raising activities. The Company has an affiliated company in Bangladesh and has been engaged in the production of LEDs for automatic vending machines and other products since 1997. We will continue to support such children as a local company.

Tamura Corporation, as a corporate member of the Nature Conservation Society of Japan (NACS-J), has been supporting the "Akaya Project,"
In 2018, we started the "Akaya Reforestation" volunteer activity, which aims to restore a man-made forest to a natural forest. A large number of employee volunteers participated in the project in FY2024 carrying out improvement, cutting and planting trees. We will continue this volunteer activity as an annual event and observe the progress and change of the forest through our efforts.

- *Akaya Project: Efforts to promote biodiversity restoration and a sustainable regional community through the joint cooperation of three core organizations, namely, "Akaya Project Regional Council" consisting of the region’s residents, the MAFF (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries) Kanto Regional Forest Office, and the Nature Conservation Society of Japan. This project takes place in the Akaya Forest, a national forest that measures approx. 10 thousand hectares (10km x 10km), extending from the northern area of Minakami Town, Gunma Prefecture to the prefectural border with Niigata Prefecture.
Internship and Job Experience Programs
The Tamura Group believes that passing down the great value of "monozukuri(manufacturing)" to future generations is one of the "corporate social responsibilities (CSR)." On the basis of this belief, we have been promoting activities that enable participants to actually feel "what is to work" by offering opportunities of field experience of monozukuri and friendly interactions with employees. Under its internship and job experience programs, it receives junior and senior high school and university students as well as foreign students studying in Japan to its business sites, including overseas subsidiaries. In these programs, it also receives school teachers to provide opportunities of learning human resource development and customer service systems at businesses and using such experience for future school administration and class improvement.
